I had a really wonderful stay at this hotel by the river. The location is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views and lots of wildlife. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they even made me a delicious vegan breakfast. The rooms were clean and bug-free, which was a huge plus. it was a great value for money and I would highly recommend it.
The only minor downside was that the shower could have been better. However, this hotel is still a great choice for a relaxing and scenic getaway.

The riverside location and the breakfast were the best aspects of our stay. It was nice to sit by the water and enjoy the peace and quiet. The breakfast was decent and filled us up before a day of exploring the city. The location was also convenient to the main tourist attractions, which made it easy to get around and explore.
There were some really disappointing aspects of our stay. For starters, the room was dirty and the bed was uncomfortable.

During our stay at Lamanai Riverside Retreat, we were captivated by the breathtaking scenery of the New River. The free breakfast that came with our room each day was a delightful perk. We also found the staff and owner to be incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food served at the retreat was not only delicious but also offered at very reasonable prices. Additionally, the proximity to shops in downtown Orange Walk provided convenience without sacrificing the peacefulness of the rural river location.
Although the room we stayed in was located in a dated building alongside two others, we still found it to be a great base camp for our visit to Laminai. Despite the entry via a padlocked door, which initially felt like entering a shed, the room itself was fairly clean.
